The vision of the Nujoum AI program: The program aims to nurture technological and scientific excellence among teens from the Arab community while providing tools to help them integrate into the tech and scientific research spheres. The program aspires to create a community of highly motivated students who can lead change and have an impact in technology, artificial intelligence and the sciences.

The program’s spheres of activity:

  1. Science enrichmentproviding up-to-date knowledge in the field of data science and AI.
  2. Role models — meeting with researchers, engineers and industry leaders for inspiration and academic guidance.
  3. Learning Hebrew — improving proficiency in scientific and professional Hebrew, which is a core requirement for integrating into academia and the job market.

4. Soft skills — developing critical thinking, teamwork, time management and complex problem-solving skills.

5. Networking — connecting with experts, academic institutions and the tech industry, as well as with friends and colleagues with shared areas of interest. 

 

 

Nujoum AI is a unique program that aims to provide participants with high-quality preparation for academia and employment in tech and the sciences. It places a significant emphasis on teaching data science and AI as core 21st century competencies for those wishing to excel in STEM. The program includes regular sessions, practical workshops, visits to research institutions and labs, and participation in unique projects.

The program is for 10th-grade students, who continue through 12th grade. It is suitable for outstanding, highly motivated teens from the Arab community who express an interest in science and technology.

Three years. The students take part in weekly four-hour sessions that include enrichment activities and unique initiatives. Participants also need to study at home.

Screening tests take place at Tel Aviv University, usually during December – January.

The studies are held in the local community, operated by the Cyber Education Center, with the integration of a study day within the academic institution that operates the program.

 
 

Annual registration fee: 800 NIS per year
(Scholarships are available for those who need them.)

Online registration — fill out a registration form, including personal details and information about the candidate’s areas of interest

Entrance exam — task-based evaluation to examine thinking and problem-solving skills

Interview — meeting with the management staff to evaluate the candidate’s motivation and suitability for the program

Acceptance — the students selected will be officially notified and will be invited to a festive opening event, where each participant will be given a computer
